Job description

KONE is currently looking for a Mechanical engineer to join our Escalator Installation team in Keighley with projects nationwide.

Key accountabilities at the role:

  • Is responsible for safe, high quality, and timely installation of the equipment following KONE installation methods
  • Reports installation progress to the installation supervisor
  • Is responsible for receiving, checking and storage of materials
  • Keeps the installation tooling safe and in good condition, ensures the security of the delivered equipment, is responsible for the safe working environment
  • Submits reports of timekeeping, quality feedback forms and warranty claims for material
  • Contributes to the ongoing improvement of the product by feedback to the supply line
  • Manages on-site communication with the customer for day to day installation and logistical activities
  • Communicates with the builder to prevent interruptions to installation work
  • May be required by the supervisor to give training/coaching to trainees and helpers.

To qualify for this vacancy we would expect you to have:

  • NVQ3 in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Strong customer skills
  • Excellent health and safety knowledge
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Clean UK driving licence (we provide Kone van)
