A specialist Building Services Engineering Design Consultancy in Manchester is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on various projects within the built environment. The role involves using Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) and focusing on building performance analysis to contribute to projects across commercial, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, retail, and residential sectors.

You will be responsible for energy modelling and building simulation using IES VE, ensuring Part L compliance, conducting SAP assessments, supporting business development, mentoring junior team members, and liaising with clients.

Requirements for this role include:

• Experience with IES VE building simulation software and completing projects for EPCS, CIBSE TM59/52 overheating analysis, and Part L compliance
• Demonstrable building physics experience
• A degree in building physics, environmental engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of UK building regulations, energy codes, and planning requirements
• Ideally, IES Accreditation and/or OCDEA/LCC/LCEA qualifications
• Living in or near Manchester
