Job summary

Neutronic Technologies Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take a hands-on role in inspecting, diagnosing and overhauling rotating equipment at our Warrington facility.

You will dismantle, repair and test electric motors, pumps, fans and gearboxes, delivering high-quality work to customer specifications while maintaining safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mechanical Engineer in rotating machinery repair/maintenance.
• Hands-on with equipment such as electric motors, pumps, fans or industrial gearboxes.
• Ability to diagnose faults and identify causes of failure, and to plan repairs.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality work safely and to customer specifications.

Experienced Mechanical Engineer – Rotating Machinery

Contract: 40 hours per week

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm

Neutronic Technologies is a leading UK provider of repair services for rotating machinery, including electric motors, pumps, fans and industrial gearboxes. We support customers across a wide range of industries, from food and beverage and automotive to steel, chemicals, paper and building materials.

Our repairs are carried out at our purpose-built facility in Warrington. As our business grows, we’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who can bring strong practical knowledge of rotating machinery and contribute confidently to our repair work from day one.

The role

You’ll take a hands‑on role throughout the repair process, applying your experience to inspect, diagnose and overhaul a wide range of equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Dismantling and assessing rotating machinery


• Identifying faults and causes of failure


• Appraising equipment and providing technical information for repair quotations


• Overhauling and rebuilding machinery


• Testing equipment following repair


• Delivering high-quality work to customer specifications

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in rotating machinery repair, maintenance or overhaul


• Practical experience with equipment such as electric motors, pumps, fans or industrial gearboxes


• The ability to assess equipment, diagnose faults and identify causes of failure


• Confidence carrying out dismantling, overhaul, rebuilding and testing work


• A strong focus on quality, safe working and meeting customer requirements
