Job summary

4Maintenance Engineering Ltd is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join the team. The role involves maintaining, repairing, refurbishing and installing mechanical equipment, with a focus on fault-finding and problem-solving across Heathrow and other UK & Ireland airports.

The candidate should have an NVQ Level 3 or completed engineering apprenticeship, strong drive system knowledge, ability to read drawings, and a Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or an apprenticeship.
• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, servicing and fault-finding.
• Good understanding of mechanical drive systems, bearings, gearboxes and components.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Experience using workshop tools and equipment.
• Strong practical problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and manage workloads.
• Good communication skills and a flexible, positive attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Engineer to join our team, working across Heathrow and other airports throughout the UK and Ireland.

This varied, hands‑on role involves maintaining, repairing, refurbishing and installing mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills and be confident working both independently and as part of a team.
