Job Description:

Mobile Maintenance Engineer

Location: Ideally based near Uxbridge, Watford or surrounding areas within or just outside the M25

Salary: £47,000 per annum

Van: Provided (can be taken home if located just outside M25 – fuel card for business use only)

Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm (first hour of travel not paid)

Holidays: 25 days + birthday off + 1 extra day for each year of service (up to 30 days)

Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview:

This is a mobile maintenance position working across a variety of commercial sites in the South East and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across client properties and liaising directly with site contacts.

Typical areas covered include:

• Gerrards Cross
• Amersham
• Slough
• Reading
• Farnborough
• Oxford
• Walton-on-the-Marsh
• Croydon
• Occasional trips to Derby (approx. once per month)
• Potential support to Swindon-based engineer for two-person tasks

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out PPM and reactive building maintenance
• PAT testing
• Changing light fittings
• Basic plumbing (e.g. unblocking toilets)
• Flip tests and general compliance checks
• Communicating clearly and professionally with clients on-site

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar mobile building services or facilities maintenance role
• Strong communication skills and a presentable, professional manner
• Comfortable using a tablet for job reporting and updates
• Full UK driving licence
• Based within or just outside the M25 (e.g. Uxbridge, Watford, West London) due to mileage restrictions on leased vans
