Job summary

South West Water, part of Pennon Group, invites applications for a Mechanical Craftsperson to maintain and repair water treatment assets, pumping stations and reservoirs. You will work in a hands-on role supporting safe, reliable services for communities and environments.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship in a relevant technical discipline.
• Understanding of RAMS to deliver an effective and safe maintenance regime.
• Experience with Waste Water treatment processes would be desirable.
• Ability to fault find and repair large mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment
• Manufacture and fabricate parts and equipment
• Provide detailed specifications for replacement parts
• Assist operational teams with complex problem-solving
• Ensure safety compliance using method statements and RAMS
• Participate in standby/call-out rota

As a Mechanical Craftsperson, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our water treatment assets, pumping stations, and reservoirs.
