As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for keeping mechanical building services operating safely and efficiently across a portfolio of properties.
The role will involve a combination of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repairs.
You'll manage your workload through a CAFM or mobile job management system and work closely with customers, tenants and the wider facilities team.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns
Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs
Maintain commercial and domestic heating systems
Service and repair pumps, valves and associated equipment
Carry out maintenance on pipework and plumbing systems
Work on boilers and heating plant
Complete mechanical remedial works
Carry out root cause analysis on recurring faults
Support installation and commissioning works
Complete maintenance records using CAFM systems
Ensure work complies with Health & Safety requirements
Liaise professionally with customers, tenants and site teams
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent mechanical qualification
Previous mechanical maintenance experience
Commercial or domestic building maintenance experience
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience with heating systems, pumps and pipework
Good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance
Full UK Driving Licence
Good communication and customer service skills
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
Commercial plumbing
Boilers and heating systems
Gas appliances
Commercial Gas qualifications
Pipefitting
Pumps and valves
Building Services / Facilities Management
Basic electrical maintenance
CAFM systems
Multi-skilled maintenance
Gas qualifications are advantageous but not essential for the position.
