Job summary

Ball Corporation in Milton Keynes is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support production targets by managing equipment, ensuring H&S compliance, and improving line efficiency. The role requires fault finding and monthly/weekly maintenance tasks, with 12-hour shifts including days, nights and weekends.

You will work within a team, perform safety checks, complete PMs, respond to breakdowns, and help colleagues, while ensuring quality checks and startup sheets are finished.

Position overview:

To meet production targets, by managing the production equipment, adhering to H&S requirements, meeting PM compliance, improving and securing line efficiency, fault finding and responsible for monthly and weekly maintenance tasks.

This role involves shift work, 12-hour shifts, involving days, nights and weekend working.

Key responsibilities included:

• Health and safety checks, work in a safe manor following the company guide lines
• Completion of daily and monthly PM’s
• React to break downs
• Problem solving and identifying faults
• Work within a team, building and sharing knowledge, lead and help the mechanics when needed
• Priorities work to maximise output
• Communicate with your Team Leader, and communicate good and effective hand overs
• Ensure all Quality checks and start up sheets are complete
