Job summary

Total Facilities Recruitment Limited is seeking a Water Hygiene / Maintenance Engineer (L8 Qualified) to join the on-site Hard Services team at a client site in the UK. The role focuses on water hygiene compliance, PPM tasks, and delivering high standards of service across building services.

Key duties include L8 water hygiene management, inspections and testing, maintaining CMMS records, and supporting remediation works while ensuring regulatory and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• L8 Water Hygiene / Water Management experience.
• Experience within building maintenance, facilities management, or hard services environments.
• Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services.
• Understanding of compliance requirements, statutory regulations, and health & safety legislation.
• Experience using CAFM systems such as Corrigo or similar.
• Strong communication skills with clients, contractors, and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Proactive, organised and committed to high standards.
• Comfortable working under pressure while delivering quality service within set timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Hard Services team and provide engineering support across the site.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks in line with regulations and site procedures.
• Manage water hygiene activities in accordance with L8 requirements, including monitoring, inspections, testing and reporting.
• Ensure specialist contractors complete service visits efficiently, inspecting works and reporting recommendations.
• Accurately complete work orders and maintenance records in the Corrigo CAFM system.
• Maintain compliance documentation and ensure works follow risk management procedures (MOPs/SOPs/EOPs).
• Complete weekly reports detailing events, maintenance and compliance matters.
• Participate in Health & Safety initiatives, including hazard reporting and toolbox talks.
• Liaise with management on procurement of M&E components and materials for remedial works.
• Take ownership of plant rooms and engineering areas, maintaining high standards.
• Ensure work orders are acknowledged, completed and closed within SLAs.
• Deliver a professional, customer-focused service to the client and site stakeholders.

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene / Maintenance Engineer to support the on-site Hard Services team. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of engineering services, maintaining compliance with water hygiene regulations, and supporting the overall maintenance operation across the site.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of building services maintenance, water management compliance, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities, while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
