About the Position:

Cindavi is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership within our armored vehicle manufacturing operation. In this pivotal role, you'll manage a talented engineering team, serve as the primary technical liaison with government representatives, and ensure seamless integration between design specifications and production implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 8+ engineers and technical professionals while directly overseeing communication with 7-10 key leads on the production line
• Support design and CAD development for armored vehicles, focusing on government contracts and high-specification deliverables
• Serve as a primary technical liaison with government representatives, participating in project review meetings and specification discussions
• Collaborate closely with production and floor managers to ensure accurate implementation of engineering designs and changes
• Oversee and validate documentation, specifications, and technical reviews associated with complex vehicle builds
• Communicate technical adjustments and requirements effectively to production team members
• Engage with internal engineering teams working on other business segments, ensuring alignment across departments
• Assist in ongoing evaluation and support of contract engineers, while helping to build out the in-house team
• Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts related to form, fit, and function of complex systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required)
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred (6-10 years also considered)
• Prior experience in armored vehicles, off-highway, automotive, aerospace, or defense manufacturing environments is highly desirable
• Proven experience managing engineering teams, ideally with 8 or more direct reports
