Job summary

Find., an engineering training provider in Hull, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to move off the shop floor into a practical training role. The position focuses on delivering hands-on training to Level 3 engineering apprentices.

You will cover PPM and reactive maintenance, lathes & milling machines, hydraulics & pneumatics, and general mechanical maintenance practices in a workshop-based environment. Monday to Friday in Hull, with occasional travel to other training centres.

Qualifications

• Ideal background includes Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification.
• Industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience is preferred.
• Strong hands-on engineering background with a mentoring mindset.
• Current teachers looking for a move are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical training to Level 3 engineering apprentices in a workshop.
• Cover areas such as PPM & reactive maintenance, lathes & milling machines, hydraulics & pneumatics, and safe handling of hand tools.
• Support learners with practical demonstrations and supervision in a predominantly workshop setting.
• Occasional travel to other training centres as needed.

I’m working with an engineering training provider in Hull who are looking to bring an experienced Mechanical Engineer off the tools and into a training role OR an experienced teacher.

The position is mainly workshop-based, delivering practical training to Level 3 engineering apprentices across areas such as:

• PPM & reactive maintenance
• Lathes & milling machines
• Hydraulics & pneumatics
• Safe use of hand tools
• General mechanical maintenance practices

Monday to Friday role based mainly in Hull, with occasional travel to other training centres when needed.

No previous teaching experience required — full training, teaching qualifications and support provided.

Salary between £39,000 - £41,000 plus strong annual leave entitlement, pension and additional benefits.
