HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for a 6-month contract in Hounslow. You will lead on-site mechanical works, coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure delivery aligns with programme.

The role requires reviewing mechanical designs, checking drawings and specs, producing project documentation, and maintaining safety and quality standards on site. You will take ownership of tasks, report progress weekly, and support planning of mechanical

Role: Mechanical Project Engineer

Rate: £400 - £450 per day Outside IR35 (Depending on Experience)

Location: Hounslow, London

Duration: 6 Months

I am currently working with an established engineering company who are delivering a large-scale project in the London area. They are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join the project team on a 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with strong project experience who is confident working on site and taking responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of mechanical works.

The Role:

• Managing and coordinating mechanical works on site
• Supporting the day-to-day delivery and progress of the project
• Coordinating with site engineers, subcontractors and other project personnel
• Ordering and coordinating mechanical materials and equipment
• Reviewing mechanical designs and ensuring relevant information is communicated effectively to engineers on site

The Candidate

The client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer / Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in project delivery and site-based engineering.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of your responsibilities, coordinating with engineers, subcontractors and other site personnel, and working independently to ensure the project progresses smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong mechanical engineering experience
• Previous experience working in a Mechanical Project Engineer or similar project-based position
• Good site management and coordination experience
• Experience reviewing mechanical designs and technical drawings
• Experience ordering materials and coordinating resources
• Strong documentation and organisational skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with engineers, subcontractors and project teams
• A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks
