Job summary

The Danny Sullivan Group is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer in London to support a leading MEP contractor on complex projects.

You will collaborate with project teams, review technical information, coordinate mechanical services and assist with commissioning and handover to ensure delivery to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with an MEP or mechanical contractor.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specs.
• Strong technical and engineering knowledge.
• Good communication and coordination with project teams.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical services.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Support design and technical coordination.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor mechanical installations.
• Identify and resolve technical issues.

We are currently working with a leading MEP contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong MEP contractor background who is looking to take the next step in their career and work for an established business with an excellent reputation within the industry.

The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work closely with the wider project, design and site teams, providing technical and engineering support throughout the delivery process.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating mechanical services
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information
• Supporting design and technical coordination
• Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders
• Monitoring mechanical installations
• Identifying and resolving technical issues
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor coordination
• Assisting with commissioning and handover
• Attending technical and coordination meetings
• Ensuring works are delivered to the required quality and specification
• Providing engineering support to the project team

About You

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who has a contractor-side MEP background and a strong understanding of mechanical building services.

You may currently be working as a:

Experience across areas such as:

HVAC | Ventilation | Heating & Cooling | Chilled Water | LTHW | Public Health | Domestic Water | Plant Rooms | BMS & Controls

would be highly beneficial.

Requirements

• Previous experience with an MEP or mechanical contractor
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
• Good technical and engineering knowledge
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work effectively with project and site teams
• Relevant engineering qualification such as HNC/HND or degree is advantageous
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM or relevant engineering software is beneficial
