Job summary

Aspire Higher Training is assisting a reputable Mechanical & Electrical contractor in finding an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. You will lead design work for complex projects from concept through to construction across London, with base in Sutton.

The role requires at least 7 years in mechanical building services, strong HVAC and plumbing expertise, and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in mechanical building services design.
• Experience delivering commercial and high-end residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed mechanical building services designs from concept through to construction.
• Prepare technical drawings, calculations, specifications, and design documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical services with multidisciplinary design and construction teams.
• Ensure all designs comply with regulations, British Standards, and client requirements.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, resolving design and installation issues.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Our client is a well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-end commercial & residential projects across London. They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team with at least 7 years experience in Building Services and MEP.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to take a leading role in delivering complex, technically challenging projects from concept through to completion.

You will work closely with engineers, project managers, clients, and site teams to develop efficient, compliant, and high-quality mechanical design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed mechanical building services designs from concept through to construction.
• Prepare technical drawings, calculations, specifications, and design documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical services with multidisciplinary design and construction teams.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, British Standards, and client requirements.
