Job summary

RecXchange is seeking a Mechanical Plant Fitter for a permanent, hands-on role in a heavy industrial environment. You will maintain and repair fixed and mobile plant, focusing on fault finding, problem solving and keeping production assets safe, reliable and available while contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• A recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience maintaining industrial plant and process equipment.
• Knowledge of bearings, drives, pumps, motors and gearboxes.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
• The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Mechanical Plant Fitter

Permanent Role | Heavy Industrial Environment

An established industrial business is seeking an experienced Mechanical Plant Fitter to support the maintenance and reliability of their production site.

This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and working on large-scale plant and equipment within a fast-paced operational environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring production assets remain safe, reliable and available, whilst contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

The Role
