Job summary

Russell Taylor Group in Birmingham seeks a Mechanical Engineer for a 12-month contract with hybrid working options from Birmingham or home. The role focuses on supporting full lifecycle engineering across regulated environments and delivering FEED through commissioning.

The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical design, HAZOP participation, and producing technical documentation, with strong teamwork and communication skills. The position pays £55 per hour outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Engineer in industrial/process environments.
• Understanding full project lifecycle from FEED to commissioning.
• Experience supporting or participating in HAZOP studies.
• Experience producing mechanical design documentation.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, valves, pumps and related equipment.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
