About the role

The successful Mechanical/Electrical Technician will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing and repairing vehicles, including servicing and parts replacement.
  • Identifying vehicle faults and determining the correct repair methods and parts.
  • Performing vehicle servicing and routine inspections, possibly using handheld data capture devices.
  • Attending on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
  • Conducting vehicle road tests to identify defects or verify repairs.
  • Skills required: PCV Mechanical, Electrical & Body Repair.

We will provide your overalls, tools, and equipment needed for the job.

Hourly Rate
Working Shift Patterns
  • 06:00 - 18:00
  • 4 on 4 off
About you
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds Level I & II).
  • Full Category B driving license.
  • PCV license is not essential; support is available to obtain it.
  • Experience with overhaul and repair of vehicle systems including engines, gearboxes, drive trains, and others.
  • Experience with workshop equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Basic skills in gas and electric welding, burning, and body repairs.
  • Willingness to attend manufacturer training courses and other specialized training, possibly involving overnight stays.
