Job Purpose
The Canal & River Trust is one of the UK’s largest charities. We maintain 2,000 miles of historic canals, rivers, docks, reservoirs, museums, archives, and historic buildings, preserving them for future generations. Our waterways are vibrant and exciting workplaces.
There are many mechanically and electrically operated pumps, bridges, and locks on our waterways, combining modern technology with historic structures to ensure longevity. These include water pumps, hydraulic systems for bridge/lock operation, and mechanical/electrical actuators for sluices, bridges, and locks.
