Job summary

Bradshaw Electric Vehicles is recruiting a Vehicle Fitter to join our factory team near Peterborough. The role requires a minimum of 2 years in mechanical engineering and 2 years in automotive electrical circuits (12V/48V). Welding is an advantage but not essential.

You will fit and maintain production vehicles, contribute to building our fleet, and support maintenance of the rental fleet in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced in electrical fault finding, repair and general maintenance of machinery.
• Minimum of 2 years mechanical engineering experience in automotive, power generation, aviation or manufacturing environments.
• Welding experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Clear communication on technical issues.
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a changing customer-driven environment.
• Ability to work well alone or in a team.
• Valid driving licence, preferably clean.
• Positive, proactive attitude and readiness to roll sleeves up.
• You must provide your own hand tools; air tools supplied by BEV.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

As a Fitter for the UK’s largest manufacturer of industrial electric vehicles, you will work in our Factory team, producing a wide range of vehicles.

Bradshaw vehicles are used across a wide variety of industries, anything from oil rigs to motor manufacturing, airports to hospitals, golf courses to wildlife parks, atomic plants to power stations and more.

Working on the front line of production, you will help maintain the high standards our customers expect. The job is challenging and interesting, with a lot of variation. Not only will you be responsible for building our own vehicles, but also for the maintenance and repair of our rental fleet.

Experience and requirements:

• You will be experienced in electrical fault finding, repair and general maintenance of machinery.
• Ideally have minimum of 2 years mechanical engineering experience, gained in an automotive, power generation, aviation, or manufacturing environments.
• Welding experience is an advantage, but not essential
• You should be able to communicate clearly on technical issues
• Be comfortableprioritising tasks in a changing customer-driven environment
• Working effectively on your own or as part of the team when required
• Hold a valid Driving license, preferably clean.
• The role would suit a positive ‘can do’ attitude, underpinned by an active ‘roll the sleeves up’ style
• You are required to provide your own Hand Tools common to the trade, Air Tools required for the position will be supplied by BEV.

Day to Day Duties:
