Job summary

Turnbull seeks an Electrical/Mechanical Lead to join Europe’s largest civil engineering project at Hinkley Point C. You will supervise a team, ensure safety and compliance, and oversee maintenance of critical utility assets including water and sewer networks.

Role includes 4 on/4 off shift with potential 24/7 standby. NVQ Level 3 or AM2 plus 18th Edition desirable; SMSTS preferred. Excellent safety and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical/Mechanical or supervisory experience.
• Evidence of aptitude and process knowledge in water/waste treatment; SMSTS training.
• Confined Spaces Medium Risk; ability to self-manage workload.
• Previous people management on a construction site; safety and quality focused.
• AM2 Qualified and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient electrical/mechanical operation, maintenance, fault finding, diagnosis and repair of NNB Generation Company's assets.
• Maintain 100% environmental permit compliance and KPIs within budget.
• Supervise Black Hat monitoring and maintenance for dewatering and treatment assets serving HPC.

to ensure relevant KPI and SLA targets are achieved maintaining a culture of behavioural awareness to safety and reduce accidents / incidents protecting workforce from injury and company from prosecution supporting improvements in team productivity to make the most of resources and being able to show value to the client implementing efficiencies and innovations in operations to provide cost savings to the client where applicable ensuring good liaison with NNB stakeholders - Site Operations, Environmental, Security, Construction Delivery Leads, Site Engineers, promoting a consistent approach providing technical advice and swift resolution of any identified problems supervising third party contractor work to ensure compliance with Health and Safety, standards and good value without risk to quality managing interfaces with other departments, building relationships and getting fast resolution of any issues responsibility for all risk assessments for ongoing works planning of RAMS Line

Management of all Blue & White Hat personnel in the team This role is 39.38 average hours per week - 4 on 4 off shift pattern. The potential of a 24/7 out of hours standby function is possible.

What you'll need

To be successful, you'll need:

• minimum of NVQ Level 3 Electrical/mechanical qualification or equivalent experience within supervisory roles
• or evidence of aptitude good process knowledge in water and waste treatment Health and Safety training and field practice - SMSTS
• Confined Spaces Medium Risk ability to self-manage workload
• whilst supervising a team in a highly agile environment, demonstrating exemplary safety and quality standards previous demonstrable experience of people management within a construction site
• AM2 Qualified 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Electrical/mechanical Design Qualification (desirable)

What you'll do

Provide efficient electrical/mechanical operation, maintenance, fault finding, diagnosis and repair of NNB Generation Company's utility assets including potable supply network, water management network, sewerage network, sewage treatment assets and communications.

Maintain a level of 100% environmental permit compliance, zero serious pollution incidents, within contractual budgetand with adherence to set KPIs.

The main part of your job will be providing supervisory (Black Hat) monitoring of the following: providing a maintenance and repair function for the electrical/mechanical assets for the dewatering network, treatment and all associated assets serving Hinkley Point C maximising all controllable factors to meet external quality targets responsibility for the team
