Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Winsford seeks a Mechanical/Electrical Fitter to support maintenance and repair across rail, switchboard manufacture and diesel-powered generation systems. You’ll be part of a hands-on, collaborative team with on-the-job training and opportunities to broaden your electrical and mechanical skills.

You will mechanically assemble switchboards, disassemble and inspect assemblies, work with diesel rail power packs, and coordinate with team leads to meet quality, delivery

As a Mechanical/Electrical Fitter, you’ll play a key part in delivering essential maintenance and repair services across our Rail, Switchboard manufacture and diesel-powered generation systems. What you will be doing:

Position Qualifications

• Have completed a recognised mechanical or electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent experience)
• Bring experience working on diesel engines or electrical systems in a service or MRO environment
• Be comfortable working independently and as part of a close-knit, goal-focused team
• Show good communication and documentation skills in a regulated environment
• Demonstrate a hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail

Preferred requirements:

• You must demonstrate an ability to be work within a team orientated environment and collaborate across multiple functions. Good interpersonal skills and good communication is essential in addition to working in a systematic and structured manner.
• A level of overtime working would be required to assist in the management of peak capacity loadings and customer demands.
