Job summary

Arcus FM is seeking an experienced M&E Shift Engineer (electrically biased) to join the facilities team at Sand Hutton, North Yorkshire. You will lead planned and reactive maintenance, manage electrical tasks and collaborate on building services across the site.

The role offers a salary up to £42,447 with a £3,595 shift allowance and a 4% performance bonus. Expect 4 days on, 4 days off rotating day and night shifts, plus enhanced overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 18th edition qualification required and understood.
• Experience in an M&E engineer role or similar on-site.
• Strong communication skills and good work ethic.
• Awareness of health and safety standards and practices.
• F-GAS category 1 certification preferred.
• Time-served apprenticeship in refrigeration or AC.
• 2391 testing inspection knowledge or qualification.
• Basic fabric skills for building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive M&E maintenance at the client site.
• Carry out emergency light testing, fire alarms, lamp changes and mechanical works.
• Perform fault finding and repair tasks, with autonomy on-site.
• Contribute to general fabric maintenance and related tasks as needed.

If so, we may have a role which is suited to you as we are recruiting an M&E Shift Engineer, who is electrically bias, to join our facilities management team in Sand Hutton!

• Salary: Up to £42,447 per annum, depending on experience
• Shift allowance: £3,595 per annum
• Additional earnings available through enhanced overtime rates
• 4% bonus, subject to achievement of targets (historically paid out)

You’ll be working at our clients dedicated site as the first point of call for PPM and reactive M&E and other general building services maintenance. Tasks could include emergency light testing, fire alarms, lamp changes, commercial mechanical works and fabric work.

You’ll enjoy working autonomously, where you will be responsible for delivering planned and preventative maintenance, fault finding and repair work. Ideally, you will have the ability to confidently carry out a range of other mechanical tasks as well.
