£36,644 - £44,000 depending on experience. This role is reactive and offers standby and overtime pay, in addition to the basic salary.

We are recruiting an experienced multi-skilled Mechanical Technician with electrical experience.
This team-oriented role involves joining one of our Water Services Teams to ensure the water supply process delivers safe drinking water to our customers.
You will be responsible for maintaining equipment at water treatment works, responding promptly to issues, and carrying out planned maintenance. Your mechanical and electrical knowledge will enable you to operate and maintain water supply assets, including equipment at water treatment works, reservoirs, towers, and pumping stations.
What does it take to be a Mechanical Asset Technician?
You will need to be flexible with working hours, participate in a standby rota, and reside within the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities include maintenance on mechanical assets (pumps, screens, mixers, chemical dosing systems), working on water quality instruments, servicing, and calibrations. You will work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to manage complex water treatment works.
