Job summary

Global Recruitment Services Ltd in Hinckley seeks a Mechanical Draughtsperson on a permanent basis to join the engineering team. You will provide design and drafting support across projects.

The role covers producing drawings for manufacturing, creating 3D models in Creo/SolidWorks and 2D AutoCAD, ensuring CAD standards, and coordinating with overseas offices. The successful candidate will have an HNC in mechanical engineering and hands-on experience with various CAD packages.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience drafting with AutoCAD, Creo, MicroStation and/or SolidWorks.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication and finishing.
• Experience producing drawings that meet company standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Produce engineering drawings for manufacturing.
• Create 3D CAD models (Creo/SolidWorks) and 2D AutoCAD drawings.
• Ensure drawings meet CAD standards and procedures.
• Assist product design to meet customer needs at lowest cost.
• Manage outsourced CAD work with overseas offices.
• Liaise with UK and overseas supply chain on drawing queries.
• Create manufacturing drawings from 3D models for production release.
• Collaborate with UK team on supplier drawing queries.
