Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Mechanical Drafter to join our Randburg engineering team, delivering precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical components, assemblies and systems.

You will collaborate with engineers and manufacturing to ensure drawings meet standards, manage revision history in the PDM system and support design modifications throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Mechanical Drafting or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Drafter or CAD Technician.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
