KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a SolidWorks Mechanical Design Engineer for their York site. You will take products from concept through to manufacture, creating inventive yet buildable designs and comprehensive manufacturing packs that accompany parts through production.

The role involves collaborating with electronics and software colleagues, reviewing existing products, and driving improvements to meet deadlines. On-site parking and a competitive pension are included.

Qualifications

• Several years' hands-on SolidWorks experience designing mechanical products.
• Knowledge of sheet metal, machined parts, bearings, assemblies.
• Experience working with suppliers and improving legacy designs.
• Practical workshop experience building prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Generate inventive yet buildable mechanical designs with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop products from concept to manufacture.
• Create manufacturing packs: drawings and work instructions using SolidWorks.
• Participate in design reviews and testing to meet standards.
• Support colleagues across product development and manufacturing.
• Review and improve existing products.
• Work to project deadlines and adapt as needed.
