Interaction Recruitment Group in Barnsley is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an innovative engineering company. The role focuses on hands-on design, development of new and existing products, and close collaboration with the workshop and Manufacturing teams.

Requirements include a Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) or HNC/Apprentice training, SolidWorks proficiency, and CAD drawing/BOM experience. On-site, 40 hours weekly, with 33 days annual leave.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• HNC or Apprentice training and proven industry experience.
• Hands-on design, development and drawing activities.

Responsibilities

• Producing concept design ideas.
• Producing detailed technical drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Analyzing customer requirements to create accurate parts and component lists.
• Review drawings and prepare drawing documentation.
• Reverse engineering of existing products when required.
• Communicate with team members across departments and adhere to safety rules.
