BRUSH Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the Transformer Engineering Department. You will design transformers and reactors up to 132kV, prepare drawings, and ensure specifications meet customer requirements. Hybrid working options are available with a Permanent contract.

Qualifications

• An accredited Bachelors or honours degree in engineering or technology.
• Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD 2D experience.
• A Higher National Diploma or a Foundation Degree in engineering or technology, plus further learning to degree level.
• Strong teamworking & stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Design of Power Transformers and Reactors up to 132kV and 120MVA.

Responsibilities

• Produce Mechanical Designs of Transformers and Reactors for up to 132kV Transformers as per Scope of Work.
• Prepare manufacturing and customer drawings under the direction of Senior Engineer/Engineering Manager to Scope of work.
• Produce Transformer assembly, General assembly drawings.
• Support IT department to keep existing & future CAD systems up to date.
• Working with the customer and the wider Engineering team to achieve the required specifications.
