Job summary

A key player in renewable energy engineering located in Morecambe is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer. The successful candidate will produce 3D models, perform engineering calculations, and conduct stress analysis. Required qualifications include an HND in Mechanical Engineering and at least 4 years of related experience. Qualifications

• Minimum HND in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or a related subject (required).
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a related field (required).
• Good IT skills, e.g. Microsoft Office applications (required).
• Good written and verbal communication skills (required).
• Right to work in the UK (required).

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Perform design calculations with MathCAD Prime and apply engineering principles.
• Support R&D by generating concepts for new mechanical tools and lifting/mooring connectors.
• Conduct feasibility studies and develop prototypes for proof-of-concept.
• Carry out stress analysis and design validation for offshore/heavy industry.
