Job summary

Actemium Design is seeking Mechanical Designers and Engineers for the UK, with roles spanning Designer to Principal Engineer. Join a VINCI Energies group delivering design excellence for regulated industries, including nuclear and energy sectors.

Hybrid/flexible working is offered, with locations in Chorley or Whitehaven. We require experience in mechanical systems, equipment, and plant layout, and proficiency in CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Qualification in mechanical engineering (degree or equivalent).
• Experience in regulated sectors (nuclear, energy, etc.).
• Knowledge of CAD and mechanical systems.
• Ability to travel to client/project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to mechanical design deliverables (drawings, 3D models, reports).
• Collaborate with EC&I, process, and project management teams.
• Perform calculations and design validation activities.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, safety studies, and constructability workshops.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement packages.
