Job summary

A division of a world leader in the defence sector at Staffordshire is recruiting Mechanical Design Engineers at all levels to report to the Engineering Manager and contribute across the project life cycle.

You'll work with the team to coordinate the overall mechanical design, plan development tasks and deliver optimum engineering solutions from bid to delivery. A background in safety and environmental legislation and SolidWorks or Pro/Engineer is required; FE A/ CFD experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical design across project lifecycles.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design activities.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation relevant to mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for and coordinate the overall mechanical design with the team.
• Plan and conduct development and engineering tasks to meet project objectives.
• Deliver optimum mechanical engineering solutions from bid to delivery.
• Apply design judgement to meet requirements and adapt techniques as needed.
• Demonstrate a track record in mechanical design with relevant experience.
