Job summary

Nusku is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to help develop next‑gen heating systems at a Bristol site, with some flexible working. You will design mechanical and electro‑mechanical assemblies, build prototypes, and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure manufacturability and reliability.

You should have a mechanical engineering degree and about 3+ years in design, with strong CAD skills and hands‑on problem solving. This is a mission driven role contributing to greener home heating.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in mechanical or product design.
• Strong 3D CAD and 2D drawing skills.
• Experience turning concepts into manufacturable designs.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in tolerance stack-ups and assembly design.
• Hands-on problem solving and practical engineering approach.

Responsibilities

• Generate and develop concepts for mechanical and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings with GD&T where appropriate.
• Build prototypes to validate designs and drive improvements.
• Develop test methods and support product testing and analysis.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to enable Design for Manufacture and Assembly.
• Perform tolerance analysis and support product validation activities.
• Support materials and process selection and design documentation.
