Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking two Mechanical Design Engineers for a Leeds-based project to drive the development of two new machines. You will deliver 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks, with layout drawings showing system integration within the facility.

The roles require 5+ years in mechanical design, strong SolidWorks ability, and AutoCAD experience. A mechanical engineering qualification is preferred. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with ambitious project timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.
• Strong SolidWorks 3D design and modelling skills.
• AutoCAD experience essential.
• Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D & 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
• Create facility layout drawings for new machine installations.
• Design associated pipework, ducting and utility connections.
• Generate fabrication, assembly and manufacturing drawings.
• Support installation and commissioning activities.
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Project teams.
• Ensure designs meet customer, quality and safety requirements.

12-Month Fixed Term Contract | Leeds, West Yorkshire | £40,000 + Benefits

I am exclusively recruiting x2 Mechanical Design Engineers for my client following a significant investment in the development of two new machines.

Both positions are offered on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

Using SolidWorks, you will produce 2D and 3D designs and facility layout drawings showing how the new machines will fit within the existing site. You will also detail the pipework and ducting required to connect them to the facility services and processing systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to join a busy engineering team delivering exciting projects.
