MDE UK is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead cradle-to-grave projects from concept through development to implementation. The role focuses on robotics and special purpose machinery, with hands-on design using SolidWorks and occasional 2D CAD tasks.

You will join a small, committed team in an office-based setting, enjoying flexi-hours, a 40-hour week, and a clear path to becoming the task expert while continuing your technical development and training.

Qualifications

Office based, Commutable from Bradford, Leeds, Skipton, Wetherby, Rochdale, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Harrogate, and surrounding areas

This role will suit a passionate Mechanically minded engineer looking to join a small close knit team, work on special purpose machinery projects, develop technically, progress all whilst having a great work life balance.

The Company:

• Established for over a decade as an industry leader in special purpose machinery and robotics
• 40 Employees overall and a small specialist team of 3 currently
• Working alongside the Operations Director, who started his career as a Tool Maker and Design Engineer

The Opportunity:

• Utilizing SolidWorks with rare requirement for 2D CAD, taking projects from concept to completion
• Office based, 40 hours per week with flexi-hours, and a half day on Friday finishing at 2.30pm
• Further Training and opportunity to become the task expert
