Your Company

You will be working for a well-established Building Services consultancy in Leicester, which works across sectors including high-end residential, education, commercial, and heritage. They provide services such as Mechanical, Electrical, Sustainable Design, and BIM. This is an exciting time to join as they are expanding and opening new offices.

Your Role

The main purpose of the role is to design mechanical engineering solutions for building services.

In this role, you will:

• Manage multiple projects and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Survey and report on mechanical systems in buildings
• Prepare technical specifications and drawings using industry-standard software
• Design mechanical installations in accordance with British Standards
• Develop design proposals from initial sketches to detailed designs and production stages
• Prepare tender documentation and reports
• Show passion for mechanical design engineering and a willingness to learn
• Support senior staff in managing client and team relationships

You will also undertake other duties as required.

Requirements

You should have mechanical design experience and:

• Hold HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in Building Services or related field
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Hevp, IES software
• Experience contributing to design team meetings
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Willingness to travel

• Salary up to £55,000
• 22 days annual leave plus Christmas holidays, increasing to 25 with service
