Mechanical Design Engineer (Building Services)

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a team of Building Performance Engineering experts in the North West of England. With over 25 years in the industry, developing strong client relationships and career support, this role provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills on commercial, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, retail, leisure, and residential projects.

Responsibilities

1. Energy modelling and building simulations.
2. Completing projects for Part L compliance, CIBSE TM59/52 & AD O Compliance, EPCs, CIBSE TM54 Operational Energy, and SAP assessments.
3. Report writing.
4. Mentoring junior members.
5. Liaising with clients.

Requirements

• Proficiency with IES VE.
• Experience with energy modelling and building simulation.
• Experience with Part L compliance projects.
• Prior experience with EPCs, CIBSE TM59/52, and overheating analysis is preferable.
• Good understanding of UK building regulations and energy codes.
