Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design bespoke conveyor systems and SP machinery at our Derby site. You will create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings, develop concepts, and support projects through the lifecycle from concept to manufacture.

Applicants with around 5+ years in mechanical design are preferred, though graduates will be considered. Autodesk Inventor experience is advantageous; SolidWorks also accepted.

Qualifications

• Experience designing machinery with moving parts and assemblies.
• Proven ability to develop concept designs through to manufacture.
• Background in conveyors or special‑purpose machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design bespoke conveyor systems and SP machinery using Autodesk Inventor.
• Develop mechanical designs with moving parts and assemblies.
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
• Produce layouts and General Arrangement drawings from customer specs.
• Develop new concepts and practical engineering solutions for bespoke applications.
• Support projects through the design lifecycle from concept to assembly.
• Produce and maintain Bills of Materials for machinery.
