CIBSE Journal in Yeovil, Somerset, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for an aerospace contract. You will contribute to concept development and detailed design across Environmental Control Systems and Life Support Systems within a collaborative team.
The ideal candidate has mechanical design experience, proficiency in 2D/3D CAD (Siemens NX), GD&T, and familiarity with lean/Six Sigma. Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; hybrid work up to 2 days from home after onboarding.
Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer (Aerospace Contract)
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Contract Type: 12 month Contract
Pay: 35 – 46 per hour PAYE only, plus holiday pay in addition
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working Pattern: Hybrid (up to 2 days from home following initial onboarding period)
Several contract opportunities available for Mechanical Design Engineers to join a highly regarded aerospace engineering environment in Yeovil. You will work on advanced aerospace systems, contributing to both concept development and detailed design across complex engineering programmes. You will play a key role within a collaborative design team, supporting the development of innovative engineering solutions across Environmental Control Systems (ECS) and Life Support Systems (LSS).
