Job summary

Belcan is seeking an experienced Mechanical Test RIG Design Engineer for an exciting aerospace project on a 6-month contract. The role focuses on designing rigs, interfaces and components with accuracy and clear documentation.

You will apply NX CAD surfacing, Teamcenter workflows, hand calculations and ANSYS Workbench analyses to ensure robust, buildable designs for aerospace testing and fabrication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering (HND minimum).
• Experience designing aerospace rigs.
• Ability to design interfaces considering fit, form and function.
• Strong Siemens NX skills; surfacing experience advantageous.
• Teamcenter experience, especially working with NX CAD files.
• Ability to size components using hand calculations.
• Experience with bolted joint calculations and stack-up calculations.
• Experience writing design specifications for new equipment.
• Experience with fabrications and Mathcad.
• Stress calculations using ANSYS Workbench.
• Detailing and producing detail drawings.
