White Label is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer for an established engineering business in Barnsley.

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer wanting to be involve in large-scale engineering projects from cradle to grave with the focus being on design and calculations.

My client is offering a salary of 35,000 - 45,000 plus:

• 33 days holiday (including stats)
• 37-hour work week with 1 PM finish on Friday
• Flexible start/finish times

• Medical

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer

• Working on bespoke mechanical engineering projects from concept through to manufacture.
• Producing detailed designs and calculations for medium to heavy engineering equipment.
• Using Autodesk Inventor (other CAD packages considered) to develop solutions.
• Supporting site teams and projects with technical input when needed.
• Collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Experience required of the Mechanical Design Engineer

• 5 years' experience in a mechanical design role.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) preferred. HNC/HND qualified candidates also considered.
• Experience in medium-heavy engineering would be desirable.
• 3D CAD experience (ideally Inventor), but can consider other software
