Job summary

INDENG seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to act as the design authority for all products developed and manufactured for customers. You will translate customer requirements into feasible specifications and provide technical assurance to sales processes.

The role requires degree-level education or HNC/HND, proficiency in 3D modelling (Fusion 360 preferred), and experience with NPI/NPD and bespoke product design. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or HNC/HND with relevant experience.
• Proficient with 3D modelling ideally using Autodesk Fusion 360 but open to experience using any CAD package.
• Experience designing bespoke products; tolerances and stress in mechanical design.
• Experienced in New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD).

As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you are responsible for being the design authority for all products that are developed and manufactured for customers. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide technical assurance to the sales process and to ensure that customer requirements are developed into specifications that are within the capabilities of the processes and technologies at disposal.

What we would like from the Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Degree qualified or HNC/HND with relevant experience
• Proficient with 3D modelling ideally using Autodesk Fusion 360 but open to experience using any CAD package
• Experience designing bespoke products
• Experienced in tolerances and stress within mechanical design

• Salary Up to £45,000 doe
• 24 days annual leave Bank Holidays
