Job summary

INDENG is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to act as the design authority for all customer-facing products. You will ensure technical integrity throughout the sales process and convert customer requirements into achievable specifications.

The role requires CAD proficiency, particularly with 3D modelling, and experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD). Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or HNC/HND with relevant experience.
• Proficient with 3D modelling, ideally Fusion 360.
• Experience designing bespoke products.

Responsibilities

My client was founded in 2018 having laid their foundations at Cambridge University. Having worked with some of the world's leading experts in sensing technology, their aim is to become the industry standard within this industry.

As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you are responsible for being the design authority for all products that are developed and manufactured for customers. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide technical assurance to the sales process and to ensure that customer requirements are developed into specifications that are within the capabilities of the processes and technologies at disposal.

What we would like from the Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Degree qualified or HNC/HND with relevant experience
• Proficient with 3D modelling ideally using Autodesk Fusion 360 but open to experience using any CAD package
• Experience designing bespoke products
• Experienced in tolerances and stress within mechanical design
• Experienced in New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD)

What we offer the Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Salary Up to £45,000 doe
• 24 days annual leave Bank Holidays
• Hybrid working available
