Job summary

Pin-Point-Recruitment is seeking a Design Engineer to join a fast-paced team in Newton Aycliffe. You will take products from concept through delivery using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, performing mechanical and thermal calculations, and supporting rapid technology development.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and strong CAD skills, with experience in subsea, offshore wind, or oil & gas environments. In-person work location is Newton Aycliffe.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor) and engineering tools.
• Experience in design engineering within subsea, offshore wind, or oil & gas.
• Solid understanding of mechanical principles including structural, thermal, and fatigue.

Responsibilities

• Create conceptual and detailed designs using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Perform mechanical and thermal calculations and simulations.
• Support rapid development of new technologies and materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
