Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, an expanding heavy metal engineering company, is seeking to hire three Mechanical Design Engineers. The role offers a salary range of £25,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, plus a 5% bonus, overtime, and other benefits.

Location

Omagh - Ballygawley / Monaghan / Enniskillen / Tyrone / Armagh area

Position Details

• Full-time, permanent role
• Part of a company with extensive growth plans and a new manufacturing site
• Join an established design team during a period of significant expansion

Responsibilities

• Project mechanical design from concept through development and manufacturing
• Utilize SolidWorks and other CAD software for design and drafting
• Prepare Bills of Materials and optimize designs for efficiency and minimal wastage

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering with similar products
• Proficiency in 3D design software such as SolidWorks, Pro Engineer / Creo, SolidEdge, or Inventor
• Relevant third-level qualification in an engineering-related subject (preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
