Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment Limited in Lancashire is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and manufacture next generation products using 3D CAD, bridging heavy structural and high-precision engineering from concept to delivery and field deployment.

You will work under the mechanical engineering lead, performing SolidWorks modelling, drafting, and analysis across fixed and mobile stations, RF/microwave integration, and environmental considerations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in mechanical design within hi-tech manufacturing.
• Proficient with SolidWorks and/or other 3D CAD systems.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace or related engineering discipline.
• Background in robotics design and kinematic modeling, electrical schematic and wiring diagrams understanding.
• Satellite ground segments, radar systems and/or tracking mechanisms knowledge.

We have a Mechanical Design opportunity for a business established now for over 30 years; you’d be joining them in a period of growth, looking to embed the next generation of engineering talent amongst their team.

Reporting into the Mechanical engineering lead, you will design and manufacture next generation products, using 3D CAD software to create architecture, design and survivability of the entire product portfolio.

Ideally, you will bridge the gap between heavy structural and high precision engineering, able to work on projects from concept to delivery and field deployment.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

1. Solidworks, modelling and drafting
2. Fixed and mobile station design
3. Mechanism and drive selection
4. RF/microwave integration
5. Structural and environmental analysis

What are we looking for?

• 3 years + experience in mechanical design within a hi-tech manufacturing environment
• Technically proficient with SolidWorks and/or other 3D CAD systems
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace or related engineering discipline

Desirable:
