Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to apply for a Mechanical Design Engineer role within an established organisation that produces highly intricate components and assemblies for the Space, Aerospace Defence and Life Science markets. Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and introduction of new components and systems, while improving existing products.
• Support manufacturing teams and provide technical guidance to non-technical teams
• Prepare technical specifications, develop design standards, and document lessons learned.
• Communicate and present technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply and manage company product development processes
• Participate in design checking and peer review, risk assessment and continuous improvement activities

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a Mechanical Design Engineering position
• Knowledge of technical drawing to BS8888
• Degree level qualification in an engineering discipline
• Skills in 3D CAD

Salary and Benefits

Annual Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

• Permanent full time contract, working 38 hours per week Monday - Friday on site
• 25 days holiday entitlement (in addition to public holidays)
