What You'll Be Doing
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:
- Design new products from concept sketches or design briefs using Inventor 2022 and AutoCAD 2022 (Autodesk Factory Design Suite 2022).
- Modify existing products to enhance functionality and efficiency.
- Produce mechanical manufacturing and assembly drawings adhering to ISO and quality standards.
- Research and specify suitable proprietary parts and produce a bill of materials (BOM). Experience with SAP is desirable.
- Maintain standard product library and ensure compliance with HSE machinery safety standards.
- Conduct Machinery Risk Assessments for new and existing equipment.
- Support the production team during assembly and testing phases.
- Manage change control processes for improvements.
- Create machinery layouts for customer and quotation purposes.
- Develop Operation and Maintenance Manuals.
We Need Someone With
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering Design.
- Proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical, and MS Office 365.
- Experience in detailing machined components, welded fabrications, sheet metal, and laser cut parts.
- Knowledge or experience in the design of special purpose machines, ideally with exposure to glass handling equipment and conveyor systems.
