Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking Mechanical Design Engineers for multiple positions, offering a salary range of £25,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, plus a 5% bonus, overtime, and other benefits. Location: Omagh - Ballygawley / Monaghan / Enniskillen / Tyrone / Armagh area. This is a full-time, permanent role (Reference: HN6807).

Our client is an expanding heavy metal engineering company within a larger group, with plans for a new manufacturing site and significant growth over the next three years. Join an established design team at an exciting time, working on projects from concept through development and manufacturing. The role involves frequent use of SolidWorks, creating Bills of Materials, and designing for efficiency and minimal waste.

Responsibilities:

1. Project-oriented mechanical design within a team environment.
2. Developing full project designs from concept to manufacture.
3. Using SolidWorks and other CAD software for design and drafting.
4. Creating Bills of Materials and focusing on design efficiency.

Essential Criteria:

1. At least 1 year of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering on similar products.
2. Competency in 3D design software (SolidWorks, Pro Engineer / Creo, SolidEdge, Inventor).
3. A relevant engineering qualification is preferred; however, extensive related experience will be considered.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
