Job summary

Progressive Global Energy in Surrey is seeking a Mechanical Project Design Engineer to lead complex mechanical projects from concept through to commissioning, with exposure to project delivery and customer interactions.

You'll design mechanical systems, create 3D models, perform calculations and liaise with suppliers, across design, assembly and site activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with 3D CAD design using Inventor/SolidWorks/Creo.
• Experience delivering mechanical systems through full lifecycle.

A Engineering Specialist for the Aerospace, Defence and Advanced Engineering sectors is seeking a Mechanical Project Design Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Project Engineer or Mechanical Systems Engineer looking to take ownership of complex engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you will be involved in the design, development and delivery of bespoke mechanical systems and engineered equipment, supporting projects from concept and detailed design through to manufacture, installation and commissioning. Unlike many traditional Mechanical Design Engineer positions, this role offers genuine exposure to project delivery, customer interaction, supplier engagement and site-based engineering activities. The Mechanical Project Design Engineer Role As a Mechanical Project Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering technically challenging projects for customers operating within highly regulated engineering sectors.

• Experience supporting projects through the full engineering lifecycle
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Practical and solutions-focused engineering mindset
