TechnipFMC plc in Dunfermline is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Surface department. The role involves delivering engineering solutions in line with our standards, procedures, and budgets, with focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

You will work on designs for proposals, review technical documents, and present designs in internal meetings, collaborating with senior engineers and junior staff.

Formación

• Relevant Engineering Degree and manufacturing engineering competency.
• Proficiency in engineering drawing, dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Experience creating engineering documentation and BOMs.
• Knowledge of materials science.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and drafting standards (NX).
• Knowledge of surface wellhead and tree technology.
• Experience with industry codes (API 6A, ISO 9001).
• Proficiency with TechnipFMC core applications and MS Office.
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, diverse environment.
• Good planning and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Performs tasks in accordance with department instructions, schedules, processes, and HSE requirements: utilizing technically correct engineering analysis, optimized engineering solutions, and provide technical assistance to other functions within the organisation.
• Works independently on assigned tasks and participates in more complex projects under supervision of more “senior” engineering personnel.
• Supervises more “junior” engineering personnel by checking their calculations, design conception, layouts, and engineering solutions and ensures quality and efficiency of deliverables.
• Deliver designs for proposals from customer or internally generated specifications. Verify designs where necessary using classical analysis techniques.
• Present designs during internal design meetings, prepare and review technical documents and drawings in accordance with design standards.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Dunfermline within the Surface department. The Design Engineer provides engineering solutions, in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules, and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.

• Skilled in creating engineering documentation and Bill of Materials
• Knowledgeable in Materials Science
• Knowledgeable in 3D Modeling and Drafting Standards (NX or Equivalent)
• Knowledgeable in Surface Wellhead and Tree technology
• Skilled in relevant industry codes (API 6A, ISO 9001, etc.)
• Skilled in TechnipFMC core applications, databases, and processes
• Knowledgeable in MS Office
• Strong Communication skills in English, both verbally and written
• Ability to work in a team-orientated and diverse cultural environment
• Good planning, organisational, and problem solving skills
